Designer Profile: JAC by Jacqueline Conoire
The all-white interior sparkled with azure-colored beams, and the fashionable girls serving champagne and macaroons swooped our imaginations to the French Riviera at the debut of JAC’s summer 2015 collection. Fittingly titled “Côte d’Azur”, Rozemerie Cuevas, the talent and creative mind behind Vancouver-based womenswear label, JAC by Jacqueline Conoir, showcased her latest collection at JAC’s 8,000 square foot design studio and sales floor. Contemporary elegance and edgy comfort were the first things that came to mind as the models were walking down the runway in flowy silhouettes and luxurious fabrics resembling the affluent jet-setters of the Côte d’Azur in the summertime.
JAC is the contemporary division of Rozemerie’s former luxury line, Jacqueline Conoir, which was launched to cater to the evolving needs of her clients. JAC’s target market are edgy and empowered women with busy lifestyles who appreciate style and quality. With her unique business model, timeless and remarkably versatile collections, and impeccable customer service, Rozemerie continues to delight her clientele.
One of the best things about Rozemerie’s collections for JAC is the appropriate degree of minimalism that she incorporates in her designs while maintaining a sense of sophistication. Neutral shades and minimal patterns allow women to easily match different outfits together and create new looks.
JAC’s studio/sales floor resembles the Parisian salons of the old times, which makes the shopping experience quite unique and personalized. Apart from the aesthetics of her designs, what differentiates Rozemerie from her counterpart fashion designers is her commitment to fostering a close and personalized relationship with her customers, which is possible due to the original structure of her studio/store. Such devotion was perfectly evident at the summer 2015 fashion show, as Rozemerie was walking around conversing with all the guests to make them feel welcomed.
